It's in the genes

I always wondered why I loved bikes. Now I know its been handed down by my grandparents. Here is my grandfather and grandmother with the enfield. My dad as a wee lad with the sunbeem

Starting a new project cb750 cafe racer

I've decided to start a project bike. Im going to turn this crappy looking cb750 into a cafe racer from the 60's. I was inspired by a guy named Carpy who has a website dedicated to building these cb750's into cafe's

So here is the cb750 before I start to tear into it and turn it into something. Niamh looks excited

the beast before her demise

I thought I would add a few pictures of the gsxr600 before she was totaled. This is what she was going to look like, but I binned it before I had a chance to get the vinyle on it. I think it would have looked pretty cool.

Adding Initial Designs

Here is the initial design that ended up on marks TZ125. I'm going to keep adding all my designs just for the hell of it. This is as good a place as any to put them.

Bike painting

I love to see great painted Race bikes. Here are a couple I have done for my friend Mark. Both have now been crashed, not long after the paint job, but thats racing. I've been trying to come up with a way of painting the bike so they can easily be repaired. So far the best way is as few colours as possible for a base and vinyl sticker for color changes.

First Post

Well I thought I would start a blog dedicated to my hobbies. Right now that is just Motorcycle racing.
So to start, here are a couple of photos of me at Willow Springs Raceway on the old beast.
The old beast is now a heap in the back yard after a pretty nasty get off at the Buttonwillow racetrack a year ago. Oh well it was great while it lasted. Now I'm the responsible dad, the weekend warrior and armchair racer.
